Ava is a Wilmington, NC native whose love of storytelling started early — family nicknamed her "The Director" long before she ever picked up a camera. That passion grew into photography, backyard films with cousins under "Cousin Productions," and a formal path through CFCC, where her career launched with a paid short film through The Film Partnership of NC. She went on to intern at Lighthouse Films, contribute to projects like Pine and Un-Dead, and work as Camera Utility and DIT on location in Maine — what she calls her industry "boot camp."
What drives her is the magic of people from all walks of life uniting behind a single vision. Off set, she's a gourmet-minded home cook, gardener, and 2nd Degree Taekwondo Black Belt with a bucket list that includes photographing and tasting her way through every cuisine the world has to offer. Diligent, considerate, and dependable, Ava joined the Lighthouse team because she found exactly what she'd been chasing: passion, craft, and people who treat each other like family.
