High upon The Tower

It was our honor to capture the world-renowned synth-pop band hailing from North Carolina, Future Islands and their single “The Tower”. Lighthouse’s Brad Walker made Director Jonathan Van Tulleken vision pop, known for Apple TV’s The Changeling and Netflix’s Top Boy, capturing dusk and night scenes using the Oak Island iconic Lighthouse as inspiration. Fun retro vibes were achieved by lensing this work with the ARRI 35 baking in ARRIs Soft Nostalgic textures and rehoused Canon lenses from the 70s as well as Lighthouse editors intermixing captured Super 8 and 16mm film footage.
